MDE - Manager Development Experience

#MDE is a training program created by adidas for manager level to develop mindset and capabilities. As the name of the training #MDE, it is a complete learning experience for 6 months. This training is divided into 3 experience phases 1. MINDSET 2. PRACTICE and 3. PERFORMANCE.

2020 MDE is unique and different comparing with previous MDE, since in 2020 all the world get  the pandemic of corona virus, so we did MDE by virtual not by face to face or in one class room. All the material delivered well by Chris Wong. Thanks Chris.

Chapter 1 : FIX mindsets are turn into GROWTH mindsets

I experience the “30 days growth mindset challenge” where we were challenged to do a sport, I took Running as my activity. I quit running almost 3 years, so its challenging to start again, my target is reach 100 km running in 30 days.  on top of this making a selfie video to showcase your achievement.

Getting out of your comfort zone is crucial in order to learn something new

Commitment, dedication, resilient, and persistent is the attitude of success in GROWTH Mindset
     - Help and support others to continuously learn and grow is also part to GROWTH yourself

Chapter 2 : LIVE WORKOUT become live

This is where you need to practice your learnings. There is no other way to change your behaviors if you don’t practice it. LIVE WORKOUT is the key to success and growth ! For me 2 LIVE WORKOUT were chosen through Core Assessment. Influence other with impact story and Motivating others to take action.

I learn that…

1.     Micro learning is crucial in order to perfect the leadership behavior

2.     Learning from role model to get better insights

3.  Aligning with your Line manager to get the best out of it and make your leadership presence

I am practicing this learning by sharing and presenting in the workshop “Concept to Production’ . Treytag’s pyramid: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and a dénouement

Hope some of my insights also are useful and inspire for you.

To end my blog I would like to thank to Lulud and Ying  as a great learning partner and Chris Wong for doing a great job as the facilitator, and my Line Manager Andre Bakara as my mentor.
